OSSSC revises calendar for upcoming vacancies, check details

The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) is gearing up for extensive recruitment campaigns to address vacancies in different government departments. According to information from OSSSC sources, upcoming months will see the recruitment for positions such as Revenue Inspector (RI), Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI), Amin, Forester, Statistical Field Surveyor, and Livestock Inspector, among others. Furthermore, the commission has made revisions to its recruitment schedule. According to the updated timeline, advertisements for vacancies in roles like Laboratory Technician, Radiographer, Forester, and Forest Guard are set to be released this month (August).

Big Tech companies in India currently have a total of 1,400 job openings.

The tech job market in India has faced challenges with companies resorting to mass layoffs and limited hiring. As a result, the hiring numbers have significantly decreased. According to data from Xpheno for Moneycontrol, as of July 2023, the combined number of open job roles across major tech companies, including Facebook (now Meta), Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix, and Google (now Alphabet), stands at just 1,400. These companies are collectively referred to as the FAAMNG companies.
